The 3 crucial pillars of successful weight loss
Most people tend to struggle in their fight to lose weight and keep it off for good. The most common reason for this is because they fail to put into place all of the foundation pillars that are needed for long term success. It really is that simple.
Now, I'd probably say that 99.99% of people understand the importance of the first pillar - nutrition. A huge percentage will also look at pillar 2 - exercise - as being a crucial component of their weight loss plan. But what about pillar number 3? This pillar is the most important and the one that you need to get right from the start. However, its also the one that people neglect. What is it? Mind-Set...
Lets just quickly examine these 3 pillars.
Pillar 1 - Nutrition
Without proper nutrition you'll never see a long term weight loss result. It really is that simple. It isn't qute as simple, however, as a calorie in vs a calorie out, despite what you might have heard in the past. Proper weight loss nutrition involves two crucial things - health and sustainability. If you are always searching for a magic pill then you simply will not see success for long. A healthy diet will lead to a healthy internal system and its not possible to have long term success with any weight loss plan unless your internal system is healthy.
Pillar 2 - Exercise
Exercise is certainly secondary to nutrition, particularly with regards to short term results. However, when talking about permanent weight loss exercise becomes a lot more important. Not only is it very important in allowing us to develop a healthy system, but it is also a key element when it comes to controlling hormones and manipulating metabolism, two extremely important factors to look at with regards to long term weight loss success.
Pillar 3 - Mind-Set
The third pillar is the foundation. If this foundation isn't in place then the two following pillars will not be able to stand for long. Your subconscious mind-set will set the direction you take with regards to your weight. If your mind-set isn't 'programmed' properly for long term weight loss success, you'll begin to find that the decisions you make with regard to nutrition and exercise aren't getting you to where you wish to go. Unless you are 'wired' properly on the inside, these negative decisions will eventually derail your weight loss efforts.
Unfortunately, very few people look at mind-set as being important. They simply do not get that its this subconscious driving force that will really determine whether or not you are able to actually maintain any weight loss progress for long.
There's no doubt that each pillar is essential in the long run. Imagine a 3 legged chair. Take one leg away and what happens? The chair falls over. The same is true with your weight. Start with your mind-set and then set the other pillars in place. Do so and you'll lose weight quickly, easily, and never see it return.

That's good to know that to lose weight properly that it does't count calories but looks at health and sustainability. My dad has been trying to lose weight for years so I'm trying to help him out and find a clinic he can go to. I'll have to find a clinic that focuses on his health rather than calories so he can actually lose and keep the weight off. http://mddiettemecula.com/medical-weight-loss/
